8460p
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an Elitebook 8460p Windows 7 Pro 64 bit laptop that I am doing a clean install on.

I have been able to download all but two drivers, the Network Controller and Base System Device.

I followed the suggestion posted to me by David and clicked on Control Panel, Device Manager, then  right clicked on the wireless network device, (properties,) details and looked for the hardware ID.

I was told there was none for the Network controller or Base System device and it gave a code 28.

This same thing happened the first time I tried to locate these two drivers.

I also ran troubleshooter, to no avail.

Can someone tell me what to do next?

Thanks, CAG43

Hi:

You need this driver for the base system device...

The JMicron Media Card Reader Driver enables the integrated media card slot in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

Most Elitebooks come with Intel wifi adapters, so try this one...

This package contains drivers required to enable functionality of the Intel Wireless LAN adapter on supported notebooks with supported operating systems.
