I am trying to HDMI connect to a LG OLED TV (OLED55B7V ) from my PC (HP Pavilion 17-e049wm Notebook) but witout any luck.
I have bougth a new HDMI 4K hispeed cable, but it still doesn't work.
The TV reconnised the HDMI connection, but says "No input". I have tried ALL possibel solutions described on Google, but in vain.
I have no problems to HDMI connect to my 5 years old Sony flatscreen TV (i is not OLED, but HD) from the same PC.
My suspicion is that my HP PC simply does NOT support a wired HDMI connection to the TV - the resolution is too low?
Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks in advance. Kind regards.

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
Here's a few things you should know about using a 4K TV,
You need to confirm if the computer supports 4K resolution, I did some research and I'm afraid it doesn't support any more than: 1600x900
Therefore, it will not detect your new 4K TV.
I hope that helps clarify your concern.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand the HDMI connection isn't working on your TV,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you ensured the latest video card drivers have been installed on your device?
Did you update the BIOS? (If not, Click here to find and install the video card, Chipset and Bios)
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
Most HDTV devices have more than one HDMI input port, therefore it is very important that the HDMI display's input source is set to the same HDMI port that is connected to your computer, for example HDMI 2 to HDMI 2.
If your computer and HDMI device use different cable types, you can purchase adapters. See Overview of HDMI and DVI Connections for PCs for more information.
CLICK HERE FOR MORE STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

Hi again,
Thanks for your reply.
I ran the HP Support Assistant on my pc and it told me, that all drivers are updated. I therefore assume, that I dont have to manually download and install any other drivers?
On my PC there is only one HDMI output (HDMI1) and it is connected to the HDM1 input on the TV.
Still it doesnt work: The TV sees the HDMI cable, but not the signal. It says NO INPUT.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
