LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I just got this new new LaserJet Pro MFP M148. I'm trying to connect it to a wireless network with its touch screen, but when I'm in the Wireless Menu, there is no WIreless Setup Wizard. According to the guide, there should be one. What should I do?

That's right. There should be a 'Wireless setup wizard' under the Wireless menu. Make sure there is no Ethernet cable connected to the printer.

Let us follow these steps:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network setup > Restore defaults

Go back to Network > Wireless > look for Wireless setup wizard.

If the issue persists, 'Run wireless test' available under the wireless menu.

Let me know how this goes.
