Operating System: Chrome OS

I am at a complete loss as to why I can’t get on the internet with my Chromebook . I get a box at start up that says that I may have to login to my network but I don’t know how to get to sign in page. I have been without internet access with the Chromebook for a week and I really need that access with Christmas coming.
