Hi,
I cant see the wifi or hotspot icons in my taskbar, and hence i cant connect to any wifi network.
its not the case of accidentally pressing a keyboard shortcut to disable wifi, as my keyboard does not have a shortcut key.
i have updated all drivers, and even did the network reset a couple of times. I performed the bios settings reset (i was following the guided troubleshooting bot on the hp website) and also messed around in cmd prompt with some global tcp parameters( again following the troubleshooting advice)
nothing worked.
then i used the HP SUpport Assistant's network check tool and it threw up the following message
can someone please help.
i also tried some advice given to other user regarding the "ip not bound" error, but without any results.
i cant perform a system recover, as my last reset point is immediately after i purchased my laptop, i would lose all the programs ive installed.

Hi! @Biscuitbabu,
Try updating the BIOS and wireless drivers on the PC to the latest version from the link below and check if it helps.
Update the BIOS using this link. Click Here
Update the wireless card drivers using this link. Click Here
Note: Before uninstallation of the wireless drivers make sure your PC is connected via ethernet cable.
If you still have issues try the steps recommended below.
Restart your modem or WiFi adapter
Press Windows Key + X to open Win + X menu and select Device Manager from the list.
Find your networking device, right click on it and click Disable.
Restart your computer
Go to Device Manager again, and enable the networking device the same way you disabled it
Reset TCP connection
Right-click on the Start Menu button and open Command Prompt (Admin)
Enter the following lines and press Enter after entering each one:
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Now enter this command to to verify that previous functions were disabled:
netsh int tcp show global
Close the Command Prompt window.
Run Windows Networking Troubleshooter
Go to Search and type troubleshoot. Choose Troubleshoot from the menu.
Select Network Adapter and click Run the troubleshooter.
Follow on-screen instructions.
Hope this answers your query!
