Hi:
The wifi adapter your notebook comes with does not support wireless display/miracast.
If your notebook currently has two antennas connected to the wifi card in there now, you can upgrade to this wifi card which supports wireless display on windows 10...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part #710661-001
The card is readily available on Amazon or eBay.
Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
Here is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
The wifi card removal and replacement procedures can be found in chapter 5 starting on page 52.

Hi Paul, sorry to bother you again. I've now bought the specified WLAN receiver and installed it, but I am still unable to cost my laptop to the Samsung TV using Windows 10. I can see my TV on the connection settings but can't make any progress. Please can you help?
Thank you.
Richard 🙂

I've found these instructions on the TV manual...
"Connecting through your home network You can quickly access and play photo, video, and music files stored on a computer on the TV. 1. Connect the TV and the computer to the same router or AP. Once you connect them to the same router or AP, a home network is configured. 2. On the computer, select [Control Panel] [Network and Internet] [Network and Sharing Centre] [Change advanced sharing settings], and select [Choose media streaming options...] to activate media streaming. 3. From the list, set the TV to [Allowed]. 4. Launch Windows Media Player on a computer. Select [Settings] [Library Management] and add the location where photo, video, and music files are saved to play them on the TV. For more information about playing content, refer to "Playing multimedia content in a computer or mobile device." " Alternatively, you can move the files to the default folder specified by Windows Media Player, and then play or view them on the TV."
I suppose I'll try this when I get home later.
Thanks
Richard 🙂

Hi, Richard:
I have Samsung smart TV's and my notebook with W10, and the same wifi adapter connects to them.
With my TV remote, I have to select screen mirroring (I see that option by pressing the Source button on the remote), then attempt to connect to the TV with my laptop.
Then I see a message on my TV asking me if I want to allow my PC to connect and I hit the OK button on the remote, and then after 30 seconds or so, it connects.
