Example: Pavilion g4
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi there, I have an HP Pavilian g4 laptop which the original wifi module is Centrino Wireless-N 2230 module. Now I wish to upgrade my wifi module to a better characteristic (eg: dual bandwidth, higher maximum speed, and integrated with Bluetooth as well).  So is the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (Gig+) module compatible with my current laptop. If not, what is the suitable Wi-Fi module that I can upgrade to?

@chunkit Welcome to HP Community!

Here's a list of wireless modules tested and approved to work on your device:

Refer to page. 17 of Computer major components for part numbers: click here to access the guide

(Personally, I suggest going for the external USB dongle for the WLAN module as it's plug & play, no compatibility issues and no complications if an internal component is damaged, etc...)

(As an upgrade/custom enthusiast I personally love the idea of upgrading the device as well, However, HP recommends that you go easy on it as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed in HP articles are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion)

I hope that answers your query,
