Changing wireless module on omen 16

Hello, I have an omen 16 c0004sl with a realtek rtl8852ae WiFi 6 wireless module. Since I'm having problems with this module (WiFi 6, download speed (around 100mbps) much slower than wifi 5 download speed (around 600mbps) using 5ghz separate from 2.4ghz and unstable ping while gaming... Tried everything, even replacing the computer so it's not an hardware defect) I was thinking about changing it with an Intel WiFi 6 ax200 wireless module. Is it possible to do that? Will I have compatibility issues? How do I check this?

Yes, I believe that card will have a very good chance of working but you need to buy this specific part number/sps number:

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro    HP part # L35282-005.

You should be able to find this card on eBay.  Search by the part number.

The above card/part number is the same card that HP installed in my HP 15-ee0047nr notebook which has an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor.

Chapter 3 of the service manual indicates that you can also install the faster Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E card, but I have read several posts where folks have tried that model in notebooks with AMD processors and chipsets and it doesn't work.

Hello, thanks for the answer. I think that i'm going to buy the one that you said if i can't find any other way to fix the problem with the actual wireless module. I'll let you know! ;D

I can't find the ax200 on amazon sold from europe and i want to buy it from amazon because i can always refund it if it doesn't work

According to the service manual, any one of those 3 should work in your notebook.

According to various posts from other forum members that have different model AMD notebooks, that model card did not work.

Also, that card was not listed as supported in any of their notebook's service manuals and in yours it is.

The AX200 did work in the other notebooks and even in those where it was not listed as supported.

So, all you can hope for is that the manual is correct and not me.
