Hi:
There is only one model Wi-Fi card you can upgrade to where both the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth will work with the single antenna wire your notebook comes with and that is this one:
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.
You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.
I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

RTL8821CE - Buy RTL8821CE with free shipping on AliExpress
On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure.
HP 15 Laptop PC (Intel)HP 15g Laptop PCHP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide
The Intel 7265's Wi-Fi will work if you connect the single antenna wire to the card's Main antenna terminal, but you will not have Bluetooth reception without the second antenna wire.

I would get the Intel ax200 or ax210. Yes, you will have to add another antenna, as yours only has 1, but for less than $10 you can get a pair of antenna of of Amazon. There are many choices, but I have used ones that have an 8db gain, as opposed to 3db. This will improve the range. If you are changing the card, adding/changing the antenna is really very simple. You will have to remove the bezel around your screen, and run the wires from the top of the screen area to the card. Make sure when ordering antenna you get the proper MHF4 connection. I have all 5 of my HP laptops running upgraded cards with added antenna, and they all work great. Don't let anyone persuade you to not upgrade to a superior card just because you only have one antenna. If you are proficient enough to swap the card, adding the other antenna is no problem at all.
