The only way I've found to temporarilly resolve the stated issue using the trouble shooter is to let it do a reset.  This problem has been happening over the last month or so.  I've had the computer since last Spring,  My Sprint Phone is a Note 8.

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community.

I reviewed the case regarding issues with the computer's connectivity crashes randomly. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Superb description, terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 😉

For better clarity and to assist you correctly, I would require more information regarding this:

Do you see the available network's when you click on the wifi symbol at the right bottom corner?

Did you try to re-install the network drivers and check?

Meanwhile, Re-start the notebook, keep tapping F2, and run a component test on network, and let me know the result. 🙂

Hope this helps. Let me know. 😉

Yes.  I see the available networks and when I select mine, it connects but says it is without internet access.  When I go to the control panel and drill down to Wi fi Status, it shows that the IPv4 and IPv6 have no internet access.

IPv4 Address: 192.168.431

IPv6 Address:  fe80:f48c:f9fe:7e52:16d1%16/64

The resets connect me but the properites still show IPv4/IPv6 as disconnected.

I installed the Windows 10 KB4023057 update last night hoping that might somehow solve the problem, but it didin"t.

I ran the diagnostics and everything passed.

I have not tackled the drivers yet.
