Hi @Koystory,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY x360 14-inch 2-in-1 Laptop shows that it's connected to your mobile hotspot but has no internet, try the following troubleshooting steps.

Check if Other Devices Can Connect

  • Try connecting another device (like a tablet or another laptop) to your mobile hotspot.
  • If other devices also have no internet, the issue is likely with your phone’s hotspot settings or mobile data.

Forget and Reconnect to Hotspot

  1. On your laptop, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
  2. Find your hotspot name, click it, and select Forget.
  3. Reconnect by selecting the hotspot and entering the password again.

Restart Your Devices

  • Restart your laptop.
  • Restart your phone (this refreshes the mobile network connection).

Check Mobile Hotspot Settings on Your Phone

  • Ensure mobile data is turned on.
  • If your phone has a data saver mode, turn it off.
  • Make sure hotspot sharing settings allow all devices to connect.

Run Windows Network Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  2. Click Network troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Check Laptop's Network Configuration

Open Command Prompt (Win + R, type cmd, press Enter).

Type:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Press Enter after each command.

Then type:
netsh winsock reset

Press Enter, then restart your laptop.

Disable and Re-enable Wi-Fi Adapter

  1. Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  2. Expand Network Adapters.
  3. Right-click Wi-Fi Adapter and select Disable.
  4. After 10 seconds, Enable it again.

Check for Network Driver Updates

  • In Device Manager, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for drivers.

9. Check Your Phone’s Network Type

  • If you’re on 5G or LTE, try switching to 3G or vice versa.
  • In hotspot settings, try switching the band from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz (some laptops struggle with 5 GHz).

10. Reset Network Settings (Last Resort)

  • On your laptop:
Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.
  • On your phone:
Go to Settings > Reset > Reset Network Settings (this will remove all saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections).

Still Not Working?

  • Try a USB tethering connection instead of Wi-Fi.
  • Check if your mobile carrier limits hotspot usage.
  • Test a different hotspot (another phone or device) to see if your laptop can connect.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
