HP Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop that is about a year old, and can not connect to wifi when Bluetooth is enabled. I noticed this a few month after i bought the laptop, but i never used Bluetooth until now.

The problem seems to be that the Bluetooth is interfering with the wifi frequencies on 2,4 Ghz, because I can still see available network only if it's 5 Ghz wifi. All 2,4 Ghz networks are gone from "available network" list whenever Bluetooth is enabled.

Why I don't think it is Windows 10? Well I am also dual-booting Ubuntu and the problem is consistent through diffrent OS. This is why i am almost certain that it is on a hardware level fault from the manufacturer. However, my warranty has ran out two month ago. I really want to use Bluetooth headset and mouse and still be able to browse the internet is there any inexpensive solution? Are anyone else experiencing the same  problem with (HP specter x360) or any other high end HP laptops?
Thanks in advance

@MrDaddytd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand you are facing issues with the wireless connection on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Bluetooth and Wireless use the same 2.4GHz frequency and sometimes it might cause interference. I recommend you uninstall the wireless card driver from the device manager and then download and install it from the below link and check if it helps.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
