Example: HP Envy Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Envy. See sys info below.

My internet service is now 400+ Mb for an up charge.

Last week I can speed test over 400 Mb DL

Now I can barely top 180 Mb

Spectrum was on site for 1 hour.

They changed connectors with all coax cables

I never use Wi-Fi connection for security reasons.

They checked my Data cable - Passed

We checked Wi-Fi for curiosity - Passed

We changed Wi-Fi Router - No change

I am at a loss for what to do.

Last week it was speed testing over 400 Mb.

Can the computer consistently reach/handle 400+ MB?

@DECCOHI

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Step 1: Detecting and removing spyware and adware
  • Step 2: Scanning for and removing viruses
  • Step 3: Blocking browser pop-ups
  • Step 4: Clearing browser history, removing temporary Internet files, and resetting browser settings
  • Step 5: Updating network drivers
  • Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03460887 to complete the troubleshooting steps.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
