hello, for some days my wifi card RTL8188ee is not working as it should, windows tells me that "wireless functionality is disabled". Following a guide on the HP website, the wifi has started working again, but after a reboot it has returned to working. What can I do?

Thank you

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer other than replacing the wifi card with a better model, would be to update the wifi driver to the latest version.

This package contains the DCHU driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8188EE, RTL8723BE, RTL8723DE, RTL8821CE, RTL8822BE and RTL8822CE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook and desktop models running a supported Windows 10 or Windows 10 Cloud operating system.

If you want to replace the wifi card, please let me know what model processor your notebook has, because I can't find any specs on it, and let me know how many antenna cables (wires) are connected to the RTL8188EE wifi card your notebook has.

Here is the link to the service manual.

Thanks for the reply I would prefer not to replace the card. I believe it still works, used a guide on the HP site I was able to get the wifi working but after a restart it returned to being disabled, but in device management the card is functional so I don't think it depends on a hardware problem. Other suggestions for solving the problem?

thanks.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

That was a first generation 8188EE wifi card and they had issues like you are describing with no fixes.

thanks for the reply, after his advice I replaced the wifi card with the same one, but the problem persists. The card is functional but the wireless functionality cannot be activated.
