Sometimes, my laptop disconnects from the internet randomly. It is getting more and more often as time goes on.

I do not think this is an issue with my router or modem; no other devices have the same problem. No HP device scans have detected anything, but an issue is definitely present.

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your notebook come with?

What is the driver version and date?

You can find that information in the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category and the name and model number of the Wi-Fi adapter will be listed there.

Click on that, click on the driver tab, and it will show the driver version and date.

My laptop comes with this adapter: "RealTek RTL8852be-vs wifi 6 802.11ax pcie adapter"

The driver is version 6001.15.161.600

Your Wi-Fi adapter has the latest driver HP currently has, but there is a newer one on the Microsoft Update Catalog website you can try.

6001.15.161.200    12/26/2025

2nd file on the list at the link below.

The driver is good for W10 and W11.

Microsoft Update Catalog

Since this is a catalog file there is no executable file to run, so you have to manually install the driver.

Also, since it is a catalog file, you need to use the free 7-Zip file utility at the link below so you can extract the catalog file into a driver folder.

The 1st file on the link is the 64-bit version.

7-Zip

I would have done it for you and zipped up the driver, but the file exceeds the 5 MB forum attachment limit.

After you have installed 7-Zip and downloaded the Realtek driver from the Microsoft Update Catalog site, right click on the driver file.

Select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.

You will have to select 'More options' if you are running W11 to get to the full list.

Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name.

After 7-Zip creates the driver folder, go to the device manager.

Click on the RTL8852BE-VS Wi-Fi adapter.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.

The driver has support for the following HP RTL8852BE-VS Wi-Fi adapter hardware ID:

%HP8852be-vs.DeviceDesc% = HP8852be-VS.ndi, PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B85B&SUBSYS_88E6103C ;;1T1R

Hopefully, that will help somewhat.

If not, unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

Open device manager, right click on your wifi driver and go to properties. From there check each tab of properties and disable all power saving and it's related features
