This has a sim card slot, how do I tell if this has WWAN?

I ran net sh mbn show interface

result:  There is no Mobile Broadband interface

I started the WWAN autoconfig service and ran the command again, same result.

Trying to get this on the Verizon network but need the IMEI number and without seeing the interface, I don't know how to get that number or if it is possible.

Yes, the WWAN card would show up there with those other devices.

Your notebook does not have the optional WWAN card.

if it did, you probably would have had to pay about $400 - $500 more than you did for your notebook.

Hi:

The easiest way to tell if your notebook has a wwan module would be to go to the device manager, click to expand the network adapters category, and there you will find the name and model number of the ethernet adapter, wlan adapter and the wwan adapter (if applicable).

If you don't see a WWAN adapter listed, then check the BIOS to see if one is listed an enabled.

One other forum member had a similar situation where the WWAN adapter was installed, but was disabled in the BIOS by default.

If you do not see a WWAN adapter listed in the device manager, or in the BIOS, then your notebook definitely doesn't have one.

Looking at the quickspecs for the model, it would have one of the following wwan adapters, if it does...

HP hs3110 HSPA+ Intel® Mobile Broadband*

HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X5 LTE Mobile Broadband*

HP lt4225 LTE/EV-DO Gobi™ 4G Mobile Broadband*

HP lt4226 LTE/HSPA+ Gobi™ 4G Mobile Broadband*

* WWAN is an optional feature and requires factory configuration. WWAN connection requires wireless data service contract, network support, and is not available in all areas. Contact service provider to determine the coverage area and availability.Connection speeds will vary due to location, environment, network conditions, and other factors. 4G LTE not available on all products, in all regions

I do not see where to see the device in the BIOS.  I am guessing in the Built-In Device Options?

I see

Embedded WLAN

Embedded WiGig

Embedded Bluetooth Device
