printer

Hi

I am trying to print from PC to HP Office Jet Pro 9010 series printer via wifi.

all worked last week....

Printer is on and wifi icon blue, correct wifi address showing.

PC is old and running an old windows version, not sure which but possibly 7.  Wifi for the pc is correct too.

Printer is showing print job as Error.

printer detail on pc system is showing printer as having the job in the queue but troubleshooting required.

Wiring pc to printer is not an option...

can anyone help please?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. I think you need to remove the queue. For Windows, please try:

  • Hold down the Windows key and press R.
  • From the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.
  • If the machine asks for Admin you have to accept this,
  • Look down to the print spooler service, right click it and select properties
  • Click on the Stop button,
  • Browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\printers or C:\Windows\System\Spool\printers (this may be hidden)
  • Delete the job inside this folder
  • Reboot the machine

Regards.
