Linux

Hi.

I want to replace the wifi card in my laptop(model provided in the title). For now it's 'Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265' as far as I know. I have some problems with it (Win 10 BSOD, Linux complaining, etc.) and want to replace it with something from Broadcom.

Can anyone please tell me if my laptop has a whitelist? Or, if there is a list of whitelisted card's, can anyone let me know where to get it? 🙂

Thank you.

There is no BIOS whitelist for your model or any HP model after 2012.

You can try this one,
Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo : 724935-001

Waiting for a new network card to be delivered within a week or two. I'll try to not forget and write out about the results. I suppose all latest hp laptops should be the same.

Yup. After a full day of usage I can confirm that it works perfectly fine. I think, there is no way that Dell's NIC is whitelisted, so it seems there is no whitelists.

Just got some problems with Linux drivers, but anyway, it's related to NIC model and Linux only.

New NIC: Dell Wireless 1560
