Pavilion 15 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am currently using Pavilion 15 Notebook with serial number [edited]. I cannot find bluetooth icon in my taskbar. Does this laptop not support bluetooth or is there any hardware/software issue?

Hi:

The model wifi adapter your notebook has (RTL8188EE) is not a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

Your notebook does not come with built in bluetooth networking.

You can either replace the RTL8188EE adapter with the RTL8723BE wifi/bluetooth adapter, or purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter to have bluetooth.

Hi:

What model wifi adapter does your notebook have?

The model wifi adapter will determine if your notebook has bluetooth or not.

If you don't know what model wifi adapter your notebook has, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

Hi,

Since I am not well versed with the technical terms I have attached a screen shot for the model of my wifi adapter. Let me know if this helps.Screenshot (1).png
