Probably a dumb question but I can't find a definitive answer.
I have the HP Model # 15-bs113dx. Does this laptop have a built in modem? I thought it was a standard feature on all newer computers/laptops but I can't find any info on it. When I check the specs there is nothing that clearly states whether there is a modem or not (at least not to me). The language is a bit too technical.
I ask because I recently bought a wireless router that I cannot get working. Now I'm wondering if I need a router/modem combo. Thanks so much if anyone knows the answer.

Hi:
Your laptop comes with a wireless network adapter.
In order to connect wirelessly, you need a cable modem/router combination device or a standalone cable modem plus a router.
If you have this equipment, see this link for how to connect to a wireless network...

You're very welcome.
The wireless is built in.
Your internet service provider has to supply the modem.
A notebook cannot supply its own internet access.
You would need to have what is known as a WWAN card that connects to cellular service, and you still would have to pay for that service.
