Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0a, Product # 2VV46AV, Serial # 5CD8519598. Is the wifi card slot M2:CVio or a PCIe slot? The Intel AX211 is M.2 compatible and the AX210 is PCIe compatible. Which car will work?

That is the NVMe SSD (hard drive).

Since you have the notebook open you should be able to locate the two very thin and delicate antenna wires that are attached to the wireless network adapter.

Look at chapter 5 of the manual for the general location of the antenna wires.

As I posted yesterday...the Wi-Fi card is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

I can't find its Wifi adapter on its parts list

Normally we use PCIe wifi adapter for standard Notebooks. It is an M.2 format.

Hi, @ua549

Your notebook's model series is one of those uncommon types where the wireless network adapter is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be removed or upgraded.

If you look at chapter 3 of the service manual, no Wi-Fi cards are listed as spare parts.

If you look at chapter 5 of the manual, you will find no procedure to remove or replace a wireless card.

The only procedure referencing the Wi-Fi is where you disconnect the antenna wires from the Wi-Fi adapter in order to remove the motherboard.

I bought the tool (Torx T5) required to open the case.  I found a NVMe1841 card (HP P/N:L01431-001).

What Intel Wi-Fi 6e card will work?

I thought about replacing the notebook, but a 13" I-7 with a 4k display aren't being sold by HP any longer.  With Wi-Fi 7 arriving later this year, replacing the Wi-Fi card is still the best option until then.  Can you recommend a Wi-Fi 6e usb dongle?  (BTW - I don't have access to HP maintenance pubs.)

Thank you for your help.  I greatly appreciate it.

You're very welcome.

I posted the manual for you yesterday.  Here it is again...

I personally haven't used any USB AX wifi adapters.

This one looks pretty decent.

For me, I would want to balance performance with the size/portability of the device.

For example, you can get this device, but it has such large antennas.
