HP Pavilion Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For a very long time my connection wired and wireless was perfect. I went on holiday for 5 days and came back to a bottlenecked connection peaking at about 5mbps download with open wifi signals that have not changed in the time I was gone and the ethernet it runs through is not functional either. It shows a small shield next to the wifi signal though it didn't used to, even though it always has been public.  I have updated to the lastest version of both my wireless driver (Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter) and my wired drivers (Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller).

I'm thinking there was a version update to one of these that is not fully accessing the signal? I'm not sure and am not the best at figuring these things out, been trying many different things over the last 3 days.

I've reset all my files exept my personal and have made sure several times that the versions are up to date.

I saw a couple forum post that said these drivers can not work for HP laptops but cannot find a older version to test.

Any help would be great!

Thanks
