Drivers wont install

Hello, i hope you may be able to help....?

after becoming so disgusted with windows 10's user unfriendly format and monopolising and controlling my online experience, i lost it and brought out DBAN boot n nuke on my  HP15-ay022na, i wiped the drive [[[chuckling insanely to myself as windows 10 tried in vain to stop me]]] and reinstalled my own legit copy of win 7 64 bit.

i have all the correct drivers from HP online for both 15-ay022na//15-ay022ne.

Problem = i cannot get the network/wireless drivers to install, i have the correct drivers from HP but after the initial setup screen and clicking next it just hangs in task manager for a minute or 5 then i get the "this software might not have installed correctly"....i get the error code 0x80070426

My network controller = Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi M.2 

can someone please help me baring in mind i have the correct drivers that just wont install...., and i did a low level format.... would be nice not to bin my perfectly good laptop... 😕 [[[not chuckling so insanely now..?]]]

would be very grateful for some insight...?

Hi:

This is the only W7 wifi driver I know of that will work for that model wifi adapter...

The package contains the Broadcom wireless LAN drivers and utility that are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapter in supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system.

Here's the bluetooth driver in case you need it...

This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver and software for supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is required to enable Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 devices and is compatible with Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions.
