Need to buy a new WiFi card and antenna for my laptop but found out that I can fit either a dual or single antenna. The dual is clearly not just two single antennas at £1.98 more expensive. Could anyone please advise me on which one I need and also what the difference is?

So the question relates to the WiFi adapter and not really the antenna's.
A single is usually 2.4 GHz.
Dual is 2.4GHz and 5.0 GHz
2.4 is for range, 5.0 is for speed.

Hi

I cannot guess as to what HP have installed, the antenna goes up behind the display.
So you would look in the WLAN bay and check.
Page 39 lists this....
(6)Antenna (includes wireless antenna cable and transceiver)
Single 854985-001
Dual 854986-001
If it only a single then you need to either use an external dongle, pull a new antenna thru, or just connect what there is installed and hope.
