Hello,

Can I replace the wifi card on my laptop with an Intel AX210 (WiFi 6E)? I know that while having windows 10 it will not support 6GHz, but that is not needed for now.

Thank you.

Hi:

I don't see where anyone has upgraded the wifi card to the AX210, but someone installed the AX200 in an 850 G2, which is the model with the 15.6" display (see the link below) and it worked fine.

HP 850 G2 I am looking to upgrade the wifi card to best I can AX if poss...? : r/Hewlett_Packard

That leads me to believe that the AX210 might work just as well.

You want this HP part #/Intel SPS #:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # / SPS # M27269-005

I also installed an AX210 in my older HP 350 G1 notebook with an Intel 4th gen core processor, but since that has the older HMC wifi card form factor, I had to buy a modified version with the HMC form factor and it works great.

I'm running W11 25H2 on my 350 G1.

Amazon.com: WiFi 6E Half mini PCI-E WiFi Network Card 802.11AX AC MPE-AXE3000H 2.4GHz 5GHz 6GHz 5400...

You can probably run W11 on your notebook too if you are interested.

Thank you for your response.

I will try to install the AX210 on my EliteBook 840 G2.

You're very welcome.

Please post back and let us know how your notebook's Wi-Fi card upgrade project went.

Hello.

I successfully replaced the card over the weekend and so far it's working fine.

Windows 10 pro recognized the card immediately and I was able to connect to my wifi network right away.

Finally, I updated the drivers to the latest version, but it was working even before that.

Thanks your help.

Thanks for letting us know that the AX210 works fine in the Elitebook 840 G2 model series.

Glad to have been of assistance.
