Is it possible to PXE boot this notebook?

If I use for example a USB dockingbase, it does not recognize my NIC.

Is it possible to PXE boot this machine?

Yes thats easy, you need a Elite USB-C Dock G3

I'm not certain which USB dock you are attempting to use.  However, HP does offer several USB docks that can be used with the 1040 G4.

 

HP Elite 90W Thunderbolt 3 Dock

He wants to use PXE, and for that case he has to use the usb-C G3 Dock

 

The TB and others are not PXE able......

I checked and the the USB-C docks that I have listed all support PXE with the exception of the HP USB-C Travel Dock which has been replaced by the newer USB-C Mini Dock which does support PXE.

 

The 1040 G4 supports TB so it can use the HP Elite 90W TB3 dock which does support PXE.

Hi Joel,

 

please advise. So does the "old"  HP USB-C Travel Dock support PXE or not?

We have the travel dock T0K29AA. And cannot get it to boot PXE. 

The BIOS recognizes the dock and even gets an ip address for it.

 

Newest BIOS is applied.

 

Where is the information if PXE is supported or not? I could not find it for the travel dock.
