Hi all, I have recently upgraded my HP Pavilion Gaming 15 to windows 11 using HP cloud recovery so it is a fresh install. Every time I connect to the network I receive the following error in Event Viewer:
Event id 2505, Server
The server could not bind to the transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{76C0A9A4-3242-4805-8452-6FC5535F5F43} because another computer on the network has the same name. The server could not start.
What could be causing this? I already changed the name of my computer and reset my router. Or is this a common error i can simply ignore?
Thanks,
E

Thanks for the reply,
No, I am locked out of the web interface, but using the utility in the app from my provider I can see the connected devices and nothing shares the same name or even computer type. It did not happen on windows 10, only 11.

@E_Anders -- if you have "reset" your router, it should have "forgotten" the list of connected devices, including the name of your device that it found when your computer was running Windows 10.
Also, a "factory-reset" should have reset the router's web-interface to the default ID/password, so that you are not "locked-out".
