HP Elitebook x360 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I've updated to CenturyLink gigabit service for internet.  My wireless speeds are upwards of 650 Mbps, however, when I plug my ethernet cord into the dock, which is then connected via USB-C to the Eliltebook the Speed in my "Etherent Status" window is stuck at 100.0 Mbps.  I've tried to change the "Speed & Duplex" in the "Realtek USB GbE Family Controller #4" properties, to 1 Gbps Full Duplex, but that doesn't seem to do anything.  So I have changed back to "Auto Negotiation" within these properties.

I've tried the cord that I'm using (Cat6) on a separate computer that has an ethernet port, and the settings on Ethernet Status show 1 Gbps instead of the 100 Mbps that I am getting, so I do not think it is the cord.

I'm connected to a HP Thunderbolt Dock G2, as there are no ethernet ports on the Elitebook.

A few more troubleshooting points I've done:

- I've changed ports on my router, which goes to a Pakedge SE-8 Gigabit unmanaged Switch

- That Switch is connected to a x-box as well, which gets over 700 Mbps when testing on Xbox network settings, so I'm sure it's not the switch or the router at this point, nor the cabling.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you for any assistance, in advance.

Closing this item.  Happy to report that it was the wiring that the Audio techs did, I will be letting them know.

I re-wired using the RJ45 T568B ordering, on the wire coming from my swtich, as well as the wiring (since the switch wire is to short and running through my wall) on the jack I used to connect the swtich wire to my dock.

Yesterday I update the dock firmware, drivers and well as updated driver on my HP Laptop as well, to ensure all was up to date.  Seems it should be smooth sailing from here.

HI Banhien, thank you for your reply, however, this didn't seem to work.   Any other suggestions or things I should look at?

Here is a current image of the status...the device name, not shown in the image is "Realtek USB GbE Family Controller #4" if that helps.
