sam problem here.

hp pavillion notebook.

updated bios (had to do this to upgrade to windows 10)

just updated the reaktek driver to the latest.

checked bios for any relevant settings (there are none).

driver says the device is working properly.

no led activity on the rj45 socket.

quite disappointed from hp/windows. this is my wife's laptop. bought it for her as i assumed it would provide hassle free computing. she uses just wifi which is fine for her so not a blocker, i wanted to borrow the machine to do some stuff that needed a wired connection. so we've never even bothered to use the rj45 for the two years we've had it until now.

driver version is 10.1.505.2015

Hi there

Here are its details.

HP Pavilion Notebook 15-ab141na (ENERGY STAR)

V0Z32EA#ABU

I retrieved them via the detection software on the HP support page, nice and easy to use.

Thanks,

Mark.
