Hi @CHIAMAKA5,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To disable Wi-Fi and use only the Ethernet connection on your HP ENVY x360 15.6 Inch 2-in-1 Laptop, you can follow these steps.

  1. Locate the network icon in the system tray on the taskbar. It usually appears as a Wi-Fi signal icon or a series of bars.
  2. Right-click on the network icon to open the network settings menu.
  3. In the network settings menu, you should see an option for Wi-Fi or Wireless Network. Click on it to disable Wi-Fi.
  4. Once Wi-Fi is disabled, the network icon may change to an Ethernet icon or show a red 'X' to indicate no Wi-Fi connection.
  5. Connect the Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the Ethernet port on your laptop. The Ethernet port is usually located on the sides or back of the laptop.
  6. Your laptop should automatically detect the Ethernet connection and establish a wired connection. If it doesn't, you may need to restart your laptop.

After following these steps, your HP ENVY x360 laptop will be using only the Ethernet connection, and the Wi-Fi will be turned off. Ensure that the Ethernet cable is properly connected and that your router or modem is providing an active internet connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi@Alden4, I managed to fix the issue. I realised that my ethernet cable wasn't properly connected into the ethernet adapter. But thanks so much for you reply.
