HP Notebook - 15-bs144wm
Microsoft Windows 11

For starters, all of my computers are out of warranty, old, dinosaurs, whatever word you would like to use. Recently i have began to use Macs for the very first time. Learning about them to personally find out which i like better. Pc or Mac. In which i have tried to include them in my LAN SMB which has worked. To an extent. The windows PC that i am currently using and in which is my favorite PC, can not find my Mac on my LAN. However i also have a 3-in-1 that is able to find my Mac via LAN with no issues. Just to diagnose this a little further. My daughter also has a HP laptop. It as well can not find my Mac via LAN. what makes this even more interesting. My 3-in-1 and my daughters PC both are running windows 10. I have done my own research into the whole situation trying to figure out what to do and all i can find is using the "run" command to force my way in. yet it still does not show up under network in file explorer after the window is closed. is there something that i am missing. some setting that needs to be changed? any assistance would be appreciated.

Given they are on a SAME network, please try:

1. From the Mac side

                  https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/mac-help/mchlp1660/mac

2. From the Windows side

@banhien

i tried everything listed. when i did the "net view" i get System error 64 has occurred. the solutions that i have tried to find for it dont work. so at the moment, im at a loss. i dont know what to do.

edit: i know that my network discovery is working and ok because when i look at network from this computer i can see the "Windows" pc that sees all pcs when i look at network on it. to try to explain better. this pc: pc1: look at network in file explorer and i see pc2 which is windows. so i go over to pc2 and navigate to file explorer. it sees pc1, mac1, mac2. go back to pc1 and check and it still only sees pc2.
