Hello,
I just realised that the F12 button to enable/disable flight mode is not working. All other buttons (F1 to f11) work fine.
NB. I have no WiFi connection problems.
No virus detected, system performance is smooth as always. The only "problem" I can see is recent Windows updates installation. It is just annoying how features that were working OK, all of the sudden stop working with no apparent reason.
Can anyone help please?
Cheers!

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I saw your post on flight mode button not working after the windows update. I am happy to help you with this issue!
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
- Did you try to turn on and off the airplane mode in windows?
If not, follow the below steps:
-
In Windows, search for and open Airplane mode.
The Network & Internet menu opens.
-
In the Network & Internet menu, turn on airplane mode by moving the airplane mode slider to On.
Figure : Airplane mode turned on
Wireless networks, mobile broadband, Bluetooth, and other connections are now disabled.
-
To verify airplane mode is on, check the taskbar for the airplane mode icon.

-
To turn airplane mode off, in Windows, search for and open Airplane mode.
-
Move the airplane mode slider to Off.

To verify airplane mode is off, check the taskbar for the network icon.

If it still does not working, update the keyboard driver:
Use this link to download the keyboard driver for you computer:- https://hp.care/2ok413d
You can also update the all the drivers on your computer automatically by just running the HP Support Assistant.
Refer this HP document:- https://hp.care/2L64xNu
Let me know if that helps.
Cheers.

Hi Sandy,
thanks for your time and info. I did enabled/disabled flight mode without a problem. The F12 button is the one that is not working. I have already check the drivers and are updated. All the other function buttons work fine.
My problem is that only F12 is not working.
I hope you can help me with this issue.
Thanks!

Hi again Sandy,
I tried again downloading the driver (even when the OS informed that the driver installed was up to date and there were no new versions available online). I confirm it is working OK.
Thanks for your help!

Weren't there some reports of issues with disabling connections, with it being a clash between the setting in your BIOS and an HP connection manager? Might be worth uninstalling the HP software related to network conneciton management, double checking the WiFi switch is enabled in the BIOS, and if still no joy, maybe installing the latest version of the app just removed.
