Need to get scans and other directly to iPad. Computer is down.

It actually works the other way 'round.

Use software on the iPad to print and scan.

If your printer supports HP Smart for Mobile,

If your iPad is running a recent (supported) version of iOS,

Print and Scan using the HP Smart software on the iPad.
