My computer doesn't find my new 5gh WiFi network, only the old 2.4Gh.  Do I need to buy a ongle to upgrade, or is there some setting on the computer I'm overlooking?

Hi:

Yes, you will need to purchase an external dual band wifi adapter.

Your notebook only has a single band wifi adapter.

Anytime you see a wireless N adapter with a suffix that ends in b/g/n, that means it is a single band wifi adapter.

Dual band wifi N adapters have suffixes that end in a/b/g/n, or a/g/n.
