Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz Searched the whitelist and current card is not listed (HP number 709505-001, Realtek RTL8188EE). Was slowing down to 4 MBS speed. Popped in another from older laptop and got 36 -38 MBS. Familiar with part swapping...everything. But, I wanted to try an Intel 7260.HMW Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Network Adapter PCI Express Half Mini Card 802.11 b/a/g/n/ac. https://www.amazon.com/Intel-7260-HMWG-R-Wireless-AC-Network-adapter/dp/B00MV3N7UO/ref=sr_1_10?crid=... I have two wires in the screen, only one was hooked up....bought the unit refurbished...go figure. Thoughts?

Hi:
I'm surprised your notebook has a spare antenna wire.
I think the 7260AC will work, but I recommend you get this part number. You can get this part number on eBay.
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001

Thanks for the quick response Paul! I will give it a shot. Will let you know the results for sure. The second antenna was there, as I assume it was a total screen/top/lid replacement...hence refurbished. Should I get a set of new antennas? Are the antennas HP specific or are there "alternatives"? Thanks!
