HP 250 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I decided to replace the regular WiFi on my HP 250g 4 laptop and purchased the Intel 9260ngw module for this. After installing the module, error 0704 POPs up when you turn it on. Read that in this model 250 G4 should not be whitelist. Tell me how to run or what module with Wi Fi AC will work on this laptop model?

Hi:

This person installed a RTL8821CE wifi adapter in his 250 G4...

You can find them on eBay...

Everything is so-so is there a whitelist in the HP 250 G4. Can I turn it off?

HP Recommended

Unfortunately that would not be possible to circumvent the whitelist.

There must be some model cards that won't work in there.

If you read that discussion, the forum member reported that someone installed the Intel 7265 in the 250 G4.

Of course with only one antenna cable, it will not work properly.  The Bluetooth won't work.

The 8821CE will be the best you can do.

That has to be better than the single band Broadcom or Realtek cards those models came with.

I have two antennas, I can put them instead of one. Then it will run Intel Bluetooth 7265 ?

HP Recommended

Yes.

How come your notebook has two antenna cables?

With the single band cards, only one antenna cable was installed.

I have two antennas that I bought together Intel 9262ngw. I have already placed them, but the laptop does not accept the WiFi module.

Gotcha.

I suggest you try and find this HP part number.  You can probably find one on eBay.
