Microsoft Windows 11

I finally have a solution, and it might sound dumb, but................................

Everytime I come home from traveling, my HP2700 has automatically set to idle, and like many people it WILL NOT activate. Well, I unplug it, and plug it back in, and it's working.  I've tried hours of research, deleting it and re-installing, and what-not, but just plugging it back it took care of the "no print mode".

Hi @PC0319,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It doesn't sound dumb at all! Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the most effective. It sounds like there might be a glitch or a setting that causes the printer to enter idle mode and not wake up properly.

Unplugging and replugging it essentially resets the printer, which can often resolve such issues. If it keeps happening, you might want to check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer that could address this problem permanently.

Take care and have a good day.
