OfficeJet 8715

I am trying to reset my HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 printer to factory settings.  Several attempts have failed.  When I get to the Restore Factory Settings tab, the message is that the function was locked by the person who set up the printer.  That would be me but I am not aware that I ever locked anything.  How do I unlock this function? and then, how do I complete resetting the printer to factory settings?  I have seen a couple of posts just like mine but I see that the solution says something about a private message.
