We were forced to update to Windows 10 on all of our laptops and pcs recently. I have an Elitebook 840 G1 with M.2 2242 SSD, 1 TB SSD secondary, WWAN card lt4111 version.
There was no support for updated software in regards to HP Connection Manager for Windows 10.
When is HP going to update Connection Manager to support Windows 10?
We can't just throw out these laptops and we require WWAN connectivity when in the field on our Engineering visits.
Thanks.

Hi:
The HP connection manager software only works on W7.
It is not supported, and never will be supported for W8, 8.1 or W10.
Why can't you use the WWAN card on W10?
If the WWAN card is not showing up in the device manager, you will need to reinstall W7, install the HP connection manager software, turn all networking devices on using the HP connection manager, uninstall the HP connection manager, verify all networking devices are still present and turned on, and then you can reinstall W10.

For those that search a solution for HP Connection Manager under Windows 10. The final answer is really that HP stop developping HP Connection Manager since Windows 7.
But what was not explained:
Because under Windows 8 and newer versions (Windows 10), the 3G/LTE/WWAN network is already managed by Windows builtin functionnality. You could read this article from HP that explain how to use WWAN under Windows 10:
