Solved!

HP DV3 wifi card compatibility

HP Recommended
HP DV3-2242TX
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi all

I have an old notebook HP DV3-2242TX with missing wifi card. on the back cover, it's written 112BNHMW which is intel centrino wireless-n 1000. After looking to the manual, I'm not sure that is the right one because in the first manual pdf, hp dv3 with intel t6600, there's no intel wireless-n 1000. but in another manual pdf with hp dv3 corei3 written there, intel wireless-1000 is written as available choice. I'm afraid if my hp dv3 intel t6600 will refuse if I buy that wifi card. pardon me for my english

Big thanks

Hi:

Unfortunately, the parts list for your notebook does not list the model wifi adapter or the part number for it.

HP PartSurfer

Here is the link to the service manual

607789-001.book (hp.com)

The only other card it could be would be Intel WiFi Link 1000.  572520-001

That card also has the same 112BNHMW identifier...This seller also ships to Indonesia.

HP 572520-001 112BNHMW b/g/n WiFi intel Link 1000 300Mbps Wireless Card | eBay

I think the Intel Wifi Link 1000 is an older card and is probably the most likely one that came with your notebook.

Thank you very much for answering. Since both parts can't be bought offline, I thought I'd better go for alternative. I ended up buying external wifi for now
