My question is Does the HP ENVY 5540 printer support5G technology?

Thank you for posting your query on HP Support Community,

 

This printer does not support 5GHz network. HP Envy supports only 2.4GHz.

 

NOTE: 802.11n will only support 2.4Ghz.

 

If the computer is connected to a 5GHz wireless network, it will not be able to see the printer through the network and this is expected behavior.

Since accepting your solution,  I  learned that because I now have both networks to choose from in my house (5G and 2,4),  My printer could  continue to use the 2,4.  All I had to do was reset my 2,4 as the network connection on my printer.. Not sure why it needed to be reset,  but it worked. Thanks.
