I got a sim today for my EliteBook, it is appearing in the settings and says it has bars however says there is no internet access. I spent over an hour at the Verizon store today and couldn’t figure out what the issue is. It occasionally connects and then will disconnect and have the same error, and regardless of weather it says its connected or not none of my tabs load and will say they’re unable to connect.

Did you buy WWAN card option for your machine ? Without WWAN card option the SIM card is useless.
Given you did have WWAN card on your machine, what is it ? Please check Device Manager and ask your provider : does it support THAT WWAN card.
