I moved to my new home with a different WiFi network than the one I used to set up my HP Envy6055 printer.  I can't get my printer to connect to my HP laptop on this new Wifi network.  How do I fix?

If your HP Envy 6055 printer is having trouble connecting to a new Wi-Fi network, follow these step-by-step instructions to resolve the issue:

Prepare for Setup

Ensure the Router and Printer are Powered On:

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi router is powered on and functioning properly.
  • Ensure your printer is powered on.

Check Printer's Connection Status:

  • Verify the printer's wireless signal is turned on. If your printer has a light next to a Wireless icon, make sure the light is on.

Locate the Network Name (SSID) and Password:

  • Ensure you have the correct network name (SSID) and password for your Wi-Fi network.

Restore Default Wireless Settings

Reset the printer's wireless settings to ensure a successful connection:

  1. Make sure the printer is powered on.
  2. If the wireless light is blinking, proceed with the following steps.
  3. Press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until it blinks.
  4. Use the printer panel to navigate and select the option to "Restore Network Settings."

Setting Up on a New Network

Use the HP Smart app to reconnect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network:

Download HP Smart App:

Connect to the New Network:

  • Open the HP Smart app and log into your HP account.
  • Select "Add a Printer" from the HP Smart app dashboard.
  • Choose the option to set up a new printer or connect to a printer already on your network.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions for setup, ensuring Bluetooth is enabled and the device location service is active if using a mobile app.
