HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

The laptop that I have had for nearly 6 months now is just not good. I have not gone onto any sketchy websites with it or have done anything illegal with it. It should be perfect with the time I have had it and with how I am taking care of it. The mic will not unmute, the light is stuck and the mic will not work.  I have tried factory resetting and nothing has worked. I also contacted support to troubleshoot, but that did not help. Now I have no idea what to do. I need my mic and camera for classes and I also need my internet connection to be stable so that I can actually do things.

it seems there are issues with HP and windows 11, and I see no answer from HP's side yet, neither are there some solutions on the internet. I am facing the same issues as you, hope they will fix it via software update. The sad thing is, i live booted from pen drive, and they are broken there as well, which makes me think the updates should come from HP's side

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP ENVY Notebook Microphone is not working correctly.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • For further Microphone troubleshooting please click this link

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I already tried those
everything that you mentioned
also, I would really appreciate if you would stop copy pasting same thing everywhere

this is clearly an compatibility issue with HP and windows 11, as mentioned on other threads.
Thanks in advance.
