Hi,
My HP Envy X360 15m bp112dx underwent repairs and during that the tech broke my WiFi Chip. It is an Intel AC 7265NGW. Now that I have to change the chip either ways, I was wondering if I could upgrade to the Intel AC 9260NGW since it has the same A & E Key Design.
I see that the AC 7265 uses an mPCIe interface while the AC 9260 uses a M.2 CNVio interface. Would this upgrade work?
I am looking at this upgrade also since the 7265 does not support the latest drivers which are needed for Samsung Quickshare while the 9260 does.

Hi:
The only model Wi-Fi adapter HP offered in the model series is the one you have now, so there is no 100% guarantee that any other Wi-Fi adapter will work, but I don't know offhand of any reason why a newer card within reason wouldn't work.
The Intel 9260 is not a CNVi Wi-Fi adapter. It's just a standard Wi-Fi adapter like the 7265 is.
You may be confusing that with the Intel 9560, which is a CNVi Wi-Fi adapter and no CNVi Wi-Fi adapter will work in your notebook.

If you want to upgrade the card, you may as well go better and try out the Intel AX200:
