Hello,

I have HP G62-b30sc (XF387EA) and looking for wireless upgrade,

I believe the current card is SPS 605903-001, which is Mini PCIe half size slot,

so im not sure if I can get any card which will fit in, or i have some limitations.

As I googled up, i found out that maybe my motherboard has whitelist which will prevent me from upgrading the wifi card?

Please advice, thank you

Your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any other model Wi-Fi card from working other than the one that came with your notebook.

Your only option for an upgrade would be to use a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter.
