I purchased a 15t notebook and would like to hardwire the internet, the only possible option I have found to do so is using an adapter in the USBC port. I just want to make sure it is compatible before I purchase one.

From its specs
https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-laptop-15t-7df84av-1
It has
1 HDMI 1.4;
1 headphone/microphone combo;
2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only);
1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate)
I actually tested both USB-A and USB-C adapters and they all worked. I bought the following ones
https://www.amazon.com.au/Anker-Aluminum-Portable-Gigabit-Ethernet/dp/B00PC07T02
https://www.startech.com/en-au/networking-io/us1gc303apd
They give me few more USB 3.0 ports
Regards.
