My HP Notebook 15-ay503TU with Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adaptor does not recognize the 5 GHz network from my dual band router. I tried changing the adaptor properties but I dont see an option to set the Wireless Mode to 802.11 n.

Hmm, I am not very happy though...I thought I would be able to leverage upon the 802.11n wireless mode on this laptop model. I should have done some more research before buying this model last month.

Hi,
No, the Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adaptor does NOT support 5GHz. It will be very happy to connect using 2.4Ghz from a dual band router.
Regards.
