Product: HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook 15 AK004NA
Operating System: Linux

I am trying to upgrade my laptop's wireless card, I know that while most HP laptops after ~2012 do not have wireless card whitelists, most doesn't equal to all. I couldn't find any information about my specific laptop model either so this is why I am making this post. Does anyone know anything about the 2015 HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook 15 AK004NA having BIOS whitelists??

No one can tell you if the model series has a whitelist or not because HP does not publish that information.

 

Anything you found out online is from other info we have derived from folks trying to upgrade Wi-Fi card in their notebooks and reporting the results.

 

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your notebook have installed now?

 

I answered this post regarding another model in the series which came with the single band Broadcom card:
