HP Pavilion Notebook x360 Not Detecting Wifi or Dropping

I am so incredibly frustrated with the network connectivity issues I'm having with this notebook. I bought it 5 months ago and since unwrapping it I've never been able to pick up wifi unless connected to my phone personal hotspot (which gets expensive) or sitting literally on top of a router. I've tried EVERYTHING in this list of solves from HP besides the last one which is return to HP for repairs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06282875 

I've searched these forums high and low and it seems that people in the past have had this issue but the topic has been archived. This HAS to be a hardware issue but I'm stunned that HP would sell a new, defective product, too so many people. Is anyone else still experiencing this problem? Are my only options at this point to buy an external usb wifi adapter or pay to mail my computer back to HP? Mind blown.

thanks for responding. I looked at your infographic algorithm and it led me to a faulty hardware as suspected, used amazon prime now to order an external WiFi adapter and it’s now working wonders. It’s a shame HP isn’t putting out good product but happy to have found a solution. Thanks!
